Bushmans Rodeo Association

Northern Protective Services has provided crowd control security at all the major East Kimberley events and works to ensure that each of these events are a great success

Bushmans Rodeo Association

Kununurra

The Task

The rodeo in Kununurra is a frontline event in the Ord Valley Muster program and runs again in August each year. With such an exciting event in town it attracts tourists, locals, cowboys and cowgirls in great numbers to the event. With a licensed bar catering for up to 1500 spectators, having well trained Crowd Controllers is a must.

The Solution

Northern Protective Services have been working with the Rodeo Association for the past 2 years and have been delighted to provide a well-trained team of Crowd Controllers for each event. Our Crowd Controllers ensure that all the requirements are met in terms of ID checks, bag checks, and that people are safe to enjoy the spectacular event.

Ibis Styles Hotel

There has been a sharp reduction in crime at the Ibis Hotel since Northern Protective Services have been our security providers and our guests feel reassured with their presence

Ibis Styles Hotel

Kununurra

The Task

The Ibis styles Hotel in Kununurra contacted Northern Protective Services in 2017 as they were having problems with people accessing the hotel grounds and causing damage to property, cars and fences.

The Solution

Northern Protective Services helped the hotel to look at ways to stop the antisocial behaviour by reducing the access points to the site after hours, increased lighting, improved security locks to gates and by having a regular security presence on the property through our Night Patrol service.

Our Night Patrol officers do a thorough walk through of the hotel, checking to ensure there are no unauthorised people onsite and ensuring the buildings are secure.

Kununurra Shopping Centre

This is the best money the shopping centre has ever spent – we love having Northern Protective Services at the centre

Kununurra Shopping Centre

Kununurra

The Task

Retailers and centre management were at odds with how to handle the sustained increased antisocial behaviour in and around the centre. The problems were particularly from youth and intoxicated adults. Police were being called to the centre frequently by retailers and customers. Northern Protective Services were given the task to lift the current behaviour standards in the centre and reduce the antisocial behaviour outside the centre.

The Solution

This has been achieved through Northern Protective Services building relationships with all the stakeholders, including the youth. Northern Protective Services works hard to ensure our Security Officers are well trained in verbal de-escalation which is often the key to success to advocating better behaviours. Building expectations and having consequences for actions (both good and bad) has helped Northern Protective Services maintain these expected standards.

Since starting at the shopping centre incidents have dramatically reduced, police are rarely called and the behaviour around the centre has greatly improved.
